Fish fry is a simple and delicious dish that is a staple in many cuisines around the world. Here is a recipe for cooking fish fry:
Ingredients:
- 1 lb fish fillets (any white fish such as cod, tilapia, or catfish)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
- In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- In a separate shallow dish, beat the egg and milk together.
- Dip each fish fillet in the egg mixture, then coat it well in the flour mixture. Set aside on a plate.
- Heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil in a large pan or skillet over medium-high heat. The oil is ready when a drop of water sizzles when added.
- Carefully place the fish fillets in the hot oil and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove the fish from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Serve the fish fry with your favorite dipping sauce or with a squeeze of lemon juice and enjoy!
Note: You can also add any of your favourite spices to make it more tastier.
Enjoy your homemade Fish Fry!
