  • 1 pound of spaghetti
  • Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large saucepan, heat a little bit of oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the ground beef or pork and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.
  3. Add the onion, garlic, carrot, and celery to the pan and cook until the vegetables are soft, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, red wine (if using), tomato paste, basil, and oregano. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. While the sauce is cooking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
  7. Drain the spaghetti and divide it among serving plates. Spoon the Bolognese sauce over the spaghetti.
  8. Serve with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese, if desired.

This recipe serves 4-6 people and can be easily adjusted to suit your taste preferences. You can also add other ingredients such as mushrooms, bell peppers, or zucchini to the sauce if you like. Enjoy your homemade Spaghetti Bolognese!
