How to make pasta at home

 

Making pasta is a simple and satisfying process that requires only a few basic ingredients. Here's how to make pasta at home:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of salt

Instructions:

  1. Mix the flour and salt in a large bowl. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and crack the eggs into it.
  2. Use a fork to beat the eggs and gradually incorporate the flour from the sides of the bowl until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  4. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes to an hour.
  5. Roll out the dough using a rolling pin or a pasta machine to the desired thickness.
  6. Cut the pasta into the desired shape using a knife or a pasta cutter.
  7. Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water for 2-3 minutes, until al dente.
  8. Drain the pasta and serve it with your favorite sauce.
