How to make Mexican tacos

 

Mexican tacos are a popular and flavorful dish that can be customized to your liking. Here is a simple recipe to get you started:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of ground beef or chicken
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 8-10 corn tortillas
  • Toppings of your choice (e.g. shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, avocado, etc.)

Instructions:

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, oregano, and salt to the skillet. Stir to combine.
  4. Add the ground beef or chicken to the skillet and cook until browned, about 10 minutes.
  5. Warm the corn tortillas in a separate pan or in the microwave for a few seconds.
  6. Assemble the tacos by placing a spoonful of the meat mixture onto each tortilla, then topping with your desired toppings.
  7. Serve the Mexican tacos hot.
