Here is a simple recipe for making chili sauce:
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 red bell peppers, chopped
- 1-2 red chili peppers, seeded and minced (depending on desired level of spiciness)
- 2 cups of canned crushed tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons of vinegar
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of salt
Instructions:
- Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and chopped onion and cook until the onion is soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the chopped red bell peppers and minced chili peppers and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in the canned crushed tomatoes, vinegar, sugar, and salt.
